“O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.” Psalms 34:3 (KJV)

Jericho Quartet was formed as a music ministry, inspired by our love of Gospel Music, both traditional and Southern Gospel. We believe that Gospel music brings healing to many hurting people. We believe that Gospel music lifts up Jesus and have dedicated our lives to that end. The music of Jericho is intended to encourage the faithful and to bring to Him those that are still searching for peace.

Jericho Quartet is a faith-based, part-time ministry, and is incorporated as “Jericho Quartet of Southern California, Inc.” It is a California, 501(C) nonprofit organization. All funds received are reinvested in the ministry. Donations to the ministry, other than CD purchases, are tax deductible.  The quartet is funded solely by love offerings and donations when appearing at the various churches, plus the sale of our CDs, etc. Concert venues outside the church are based on an honorarium.

God has called each of us to present Southern Gospel, the music with an eternal difference. For more information regarding Jericho and our music (including booking information), please call 909-597-3497 or send e-mail at jerichoquartet@jerichoquartet.com

Meet the Jericho Team

Jerry Myers

Jerry Myers has many years invested in Southern Style Gospel music in Southern California. He started singing with his family at the age of 7 and started playing the piano for them at the age of 11 in his local church. He is the baritone singer for Jericho. His music career in Southern California has included singing with the David Lloyd Singers, Ralph Dean and the Revivalaires. He was with the Watchmen Quartet for 21 years where he played the piano, sang baritone and arranged music for the quartet. While with the Watchmen, they gave concerts in many of the churches in Southern California.

He has served in the music department of various churches in Southern California. He was a member of the Gospel Quartet Society, Brea, CA, for 8 years.

He is responsible for arranging all of the music for the group and is responsible for Jericho's close harmony and Southern Gospel sound.
Kevin
Kevin Clayton

Kevin Clayton started singing as a child in his father’s church in Central, California. His rich, gospel music heritage comes from both of his grandfathers who were Pentecostal ministers. He spent many years participating in church choirs and singing groups. Kevin cherishes the fond memories of his Mother and Father singing and ministering.

In the 70's  Kevin and his brother, Terry, formed a quartet called “The Gospel Truth.” They recorded and toured California, the Midwest and Southern states for several years. In 1980 Kevin, his wife, Cheryl and their children, Wes and Lindsay moved to Southern California. There he began working with a local church in their Music Department, Youth Ministry and eventually as Assistant Pastor. Having the heart of an entrepreneur, Kevin and his wife have owned several successful businesses, but Kevin’s true love is singing Gospel music. When the opportunity came to join “Jericho” as their tenor, Kevin was wholeheartedly delighted to bring his talent to the group.

Bob Gerardi

Bob Gerardi began singing Gospel music in 1962 with a group of young men in Cleveland, Ohio. After spending 4 years in the Air Force and several years working, he returned to college in 1973, majoring in Music (Vocal Performance) at East Los Angeles College and Azusa Pacific University. While in college he sang in several choirs, musical groups the "Earl Anderson Corral" and did some musical theater. He also found time to be Music Director at the First Southern Baptist Church of Sylmar, CA.

After college, he spent 8 years as a booking agent for Young American Showcase, a national Christian musical performance company, during which time he began ministering as soloist in churches across America.

In 1977, he returned to Southern California and continued his music ministry in churches choirs and as a soloist. He also began doing commercials for TV and print media, some of which have been shown Internationally. In 2003, it became apparent that he bore an uncanny resemblance to a jolly old gentleman and soon was making appearances as Santa Claus. He merged the two talents in 2008 and became the "Singing Santa" at the Glendale Galleria.

As lead singer for the Jericho Quartet, and with the Lord's blessings, he plans to continue singing for the Lord for many years to come.

Cal Brewer
Jericho is privileged to have Cal Brewer to sing bass for us. His bass voice adds a richness and depth to Jericho's sound. Cal comes to the Jericho Quartet after having sang with Cross Road Quartet, filling in as baritone while Dave Larson was on hiatus. Prior to that, he sang bass for several years for the Gospel Heritage Quartet.

He has been involved with singing groups since childhood, first singing in church, then school, and then college, etc. The one constant in his life is an inability to NOT sing, he MUST be involved in singing praises to God and about His precious Love.
